Two people are stabbed after a fight broke out in the parking lot before the Southern California-UCLA football game. The fight broke out right before the game started between about 40 fans from both teams in the events parking lot. One person was stabbed in the cheek and another was stabbed in the back. Two officers sustained injuries while trying to break up the fight. One officer had a sprained hand and the other had a sprained ankle. 3 people were arrested after the incident. Police say the loyalty for their teams and the tailgating partying and drinking were the reasons for the fighting. Police say that the fans are pretty passionate about their teams.
Okay first of all I know everybody has a favorite team and they are really passionate about that team. I've gone to football games and there is always a little bit of argueing. Words are thrown back and forth between fans of opposite teams. I don't know if I've ever seen anyone get stabbed over a football game though. Yea people party and tailgate and drink. Usually everybody has a great time at a football game. Yea your gonna get remarks from the other teams fans but that normal. I don't think there is any reason to stab somebody over a freakin' football game! Besides, it wasn't even an NFL game it was a college game! Geez! Can't people support their team anymore without the violence?! I'm a Chiefs fan and we hate the Broncos. I have a friend that is a Broncos fan and she doesn't like the Chiefs, but I'm not gonna go stab her just because she heskles me about my team. I heckle her a lot about her team to. It's all in good fun! We still sit there and watch the game and eat our snacks and poke fun at each other. I would never hurt anybody just because they said something negative about my team. That is just taking the game spirit to extremes! Cool it down people it's just a game! Have some nachos and watch the game you weirdos!

Mother Admits to Killing Infant by Poisoning With Methadone
In this article, a mother is being sentenced to prison for poisoning her infant with Methadone pills. 30 year old Angela Davis Murphree from Tennesse gave her 11 month old daughter methadone pills. The baby had been hospitalized a few times for having the drug in her system. She died on Nov. 3rd from the pills. Doctors confirmed that she had a lot of the drug in her system. The mother reportedly admitted to giving the pills to her daughter by "crushing them up and putting them into her baby food."
I hope they give this lady the death sentence! Who in the hell crushes up drugs and feeds them to their infant?! This story pisses me off. The nerve of that woman! Why should she be able to keep on living?! Actually, you know what, I think that maybe they should give her life in jail and let her sit their, sober, and think about it. I hope it weighs her down to the point of where she commits suicide. That lady had to have been screwed up on something. How could a mother do that to a little helpless baby?! People like her are the reason I won't let a stranger watch my child. My daughter stays with me or my mother at all times. I will not ever leave her with somebody that I don't know about. I wouldn't even leave her with a friend. Only me and my mom and sometimes I'll let my sister watch her for an hour so that she can sleep and I can go to the store or something. I can't believe they didn't take the baby from her the first time she went to the hospital with that in her system. They have childproof caps on stuff like that so oviously somebody was feeding it to her. People like that make me sick! She could have lived and been taken to a safer home, but now her mother has to live with what she's done for the rest of her miserable life! When she dies I hope she goes straight to hell!

Dane Cook's half brother ordered to repay him $12M
Dane Cook's half brother and sister-in-law have to repay the comedian about $12 million dollars that they stole from him. Darryl and Erika McCauley of Wilmington are being held accountable for stealing $12 million dollars from Cook while Darryl was his business manager. Darrly has been sentenced to up to 6 years in prison and his wife was sentenced to up to 3 years in prison for larceny. The courts are now tallying up the two theives's assets. They have a huge home, hotel, and restaurant that they own in York Beach, Maine.

Johnny Depp Reveals Why He Hasn't Married Longtime Girlfriend Vanessa Paradis
Johnny Depp, a very well known actor, admits to why he hasn't married his girlfriend that he has two children with and has been together with for 12 years. Depp says that he just never found himself needing that piece of paper that legally binds a couple together. He says that marriage is really from soul to soul and heart to heart. He says that you don't need somebody to tell you that you love each other and say okay your married. He also admits that he would rather not ruin her last name because she has such a good last name already. He also talked about his family plans for the holidays and his new flick with co-star Angelina Jolie.
I had to blog about this because I am a HUGE Johnny Depp fan! I LOVE him! I have all his movies and I also am a big fan of all the movies he does with Tim Burton! I also wanted to comment that I respect his choice. I have been with my boyfriend for 5 and a 1/2 years. I have a daughter with him and we are still not married. IT's not that I wouldn't consider marrying him it's just that I don't believe in needing somebody to tell me that I love him and then get a piece of paper to prove it. I love him just the same with or without that piece of paper. Besides, weddings are very expensive and I'm not really one of those people that wants to stand up in front of everbody and be the center of attention. I know that most girls would love that moment because it what people call "their day" but I'm not like that. Maybe someday we will get married but I'm not gonna plan my life out like that. I want to be free to love him the way I want to. I'd rather just go get married in Vegas than be made over by my family. I love my family but my family is HUGE! I have a ton of family. Kudos to you Johnny for taking a stand and explaining why you don't need an explanation for being different!

Michael Douglas on Cancer Recovery
Michael Douglas, a famous actor for many years, has throat cancer and recently completed another treatment for his cancer. He recently spent the Thanksgiving holiday with his wife and two children. Douglas is 66 years old and he says it's going to be a long time before he is back to feeling 100% healthy but he says he is feeling stronger and stronger everyday. Earlier this year they found a tumor on the back of Douglas's tongue and he was given an 80 percent chance of survival with eight weeks of chemotherapy and radiation, which he has completed.
I have to say congratulations to Michael Douglas. It's not easy to have to deal with a life threatening thing like cancer. Especially throat cancer! I mean, if you've seen the way he has been looking before this last treatment and when he was first diagnosed, he looked AWFUL! The guy really did look like the walking dead. I'm glad that he is doing much better now. He is a pretty good actor. He always played a really good lawyer in some films. Besides, if he died, he would just be another victom of cancer and another deceased celebrity. I'm glad that he was strong enough to spend time vacationing with his family at Disney World. I hope him and his family had a lot of fun spending time together. I bet they haven't gotten to have a good family outting like that since he's been really sick. Sometimes a deathly illness can cause severe pressure and stress on a family. I'm glad Michael's family love him enough to stick with him through this tough time he is having to go through. Police: Toddler hanged by ankles in closet, beaten
In this shocking story, a little boy was hung by his ankles in a closet and beaten very badly. Little 18-month-old Louis Wright of Charleston, South Carolina was hung upside down by his ankles in a closet and beaten severely by three teenagers. The teenagers, ages 14, 15, and 16 admitted to beating the little boy and referred to it as "play-wrestling". The little boy's mother, Shakera Wright, is also being charged for letting the beating happen. She told the police that she let the boys beat or "wrestle" with the little boy until she told them to stop.
I read this story and it gave me a mixture of feelings. I feel mad because that mother and those teenagers should have known better than to let that happen to that little boy. I mean, come on, three teenagers against a little 1 and a 1/2 year old, are you serious? Those teenagers knew they had to have been hurting him. I bet that the little boy was screaming bloody murder! What really pisses me off the most is that the mother let it go on. She gave the order to keep doing it until she decided it wasn't amusing anymore! I'm sorry but I'm a mother and I know my daughters screams. Every mother knows that distinct scream when their child is in pain. What is wrong with that lady?! When I hear my daughters screams of pain I come running to save her! Jay-Z Admits to Shooting His Brother at 12 Years Old
Jay-Z, a well known celebrity, admits to shooting his brother when he was just 12-years-old. His brother survived and did not press charges on Jay-Z. Jay-Z, otherwise known as Shawn Carter, and his brother grew up in Brooklyn's violent housing projects. Jay says that back then it was easy to get a gun no matter what age you were they were everywhere. He says his brother had a crack addiction and that he had stolen a ring from him and so he shot him. He admits to being very scared after the gun went off, thinking that his life was over. He is now very famous with lots of money and is married to Beyonce Knowles.
Wow! That is just crazy! I mean I can understand what he had to go through. Those housing projects in Brooklyn are still a rough place to live now a days and I'm sure Jay had to see some things that weren't meant for a child to be seeing. Thank God he didn't kill his brother because then he would have had to live with that for the rest of his life. At least it made his brother realize his problem and apoligize for his addiction. Everybody has had a bad time at least once in their lives. Sometimes other people's definition of a bad time can be REALLY bad. I think that it taught Jay a lesson that day and that lesson was that guns are a very serious weapon. A gun is not a toy. It can turn into something very serious when there is a gun involved. I'm just glad he turned out to be the man that he is today instead of one of the many murderous people that live in those housing projects. He chose a different path and that gave him a good outcome. I'm sure his brother was really thankful that the shot wasn't fatal. Guns don't solve problems they just make new ones. Thank God it's not SO easy to get a gun anymore. I mean people still steal weapons but at least you can't just walk into a convienent store and pick one up and buy it. Now you have to register your weapon!

Thieves Leave Pizzeria With the Wrong Dough
In this article, a bunch of theives tried to rob the owners of a local pizzeria for their bag of "dough". Salvatore LaRosa and an acomplice followed the owners of the Brothers Pizzeria, in New York City on Staten Island. The theives wore masks and pointed guns at the two owners and demand that they give up the bag that they were carrying with them. The theives believed that the bag contained the money that they made at the pizzeria for the day. The bag actually contained a bunch of pizza dough that the owners were carrying with them. La rosa was released on a 1 million dollar bail on Monday.
Well I guess this is what people call the "classic mix up". I thought that this story was so funny. I bet that guy was like "oh crap!" when he found out that there wasn't any money in that bag, just pizza dough! That would suck to have to go to jail with that story. It would suck to be prepared to rob somebody for money and then find out that what you just stole was not money but pizza dough. I guess not everybody can have their cake and eat it too, or in this case pizza! I bet the pizzeria brothers were confused as to why those idiots were robbing them of their pizza dough! At least nobody got hurt in the pizza robbing process. It could have been really bad. They could have shot the pizza owners over that "dough". Authorities Investigate Whether Teen's Mutilated Body Fell From Plane
Authorites are trying to figure out if the mutilated body of a teenager fell from a plan. Delvonte Tisdale, a 16- year-old from Charlotte, North Carolina, was found dead and mutilated on an upscale neighborhood lawn in Massachusetts. Police say that he suffered severe head trauma and severely broken arms and legs. Tisdale was last seen in his hometown in North Carolina on November 14th. His dad reported him missing the next day and his body was found 3 hours later on a lawn on Brierbrook street in Milton Massachusetts. He didn't have any shoes, shirt or identification on him just a hallpass in his pocket that had his last name on it. Tisdale's family said he ran away from home and may have been on his way to visit other family members in Boston. They found his body on two different places of the street.
I thought that this story was very interesting. If you think about it, bodies don't just fall from the sky everyday. I understand that they aren't for sure if his body fell from a plane, but I'd say that is exactly what happened. All the clues point to him falling out of a plane. Think about it. He came from somewhere in the sky oviously so it has to be a plane because how would he have gotten to Massachusetts in 3 hours from North Carolina. He sure didn't get there by driving because they found his body within' 3 hours after being reported missing and there is no way you could get from North Carolina to Massachusetts in 3 hours. His family said that he had ran away from home and may have been heading to Boston to visit other family member, so in order to get from North Caroline to Boston in 3 hours time he would have had to taken a plane. I wonder if somebody on the plane took him captive and then beat him up and threw him off the plane. Maybe he just jumped out and commited suicide. Vanity Plate on Getaway Car IDs Robbery Suspect
A New Hampshire woman is easily found after robbing a pharmacy on Friday. Her license plate had her name on it in big letters. A motorist recalled seeing the lady fleeing from a Rite Aid parking lot and tossing items from her car. The license plate on the car read "B-USHER". The car was registered to a Bonnie Usher. Police arrested Bonnie at her home after recovering stolen money and a ski mask that was tossed from the car. Bonnie Usher is being held on a $60,000 bail bond.
I thought that this was another funny crime story. The things people think they can get away with never seem to surprise me, but things like this do make me laugh. I guess this lady forgot that she had her name bolted to her car for everyone to read. I wonder why she chose to rob a pharmacy. It didn't say that she had stolen any drugs just money. Woman Tried to Assault Cop With Sex Toy
A woman assulted an officer with a sex toy in Gurnee, Illinois on Thursday. The woman ordered and ate food at Joe's Crab Shack at around 7:20pm and then left the restaurant without paying. The employee's called the police and gave a description of the lady that did the dine and dash. The cop found 56 year old Carolee Bildsten laying on the ground near the Six Flags amusement park. She fit the description the employee's gave the officer. She was intoxicated and told the officer that she did not have any money on her and that she had some at her home. The officer escorted her to her house where she went to her bedroom to retrieve the money. She then reached inside her dresser and pulled out a 'clear, rigid feminine pleasure device' and held it over her head and started to approach the officer in a threatening manner. The officer knocked the device out of the way prior to being struck and placed the woman under arrest. Bildsten was charged with theft of labor for allegedly walking out on the restaurant bill, pedestrian under the influence for walking on city streets while inebriated, and aggravated assault for menacing the officer with a sex toy.
This story was SO funny that I had to blog about it. People do some crazy things when they are drunk. If I were an employee that had a dine and dasher do that to me then I would call the police to. It's not right to eat and run without paying your tab first. I've never been one for dishonesty. That poor cop! I bet he thought he was just doing the right thing by being nice and escorting that drunk lady to her house to get her money that she left at home. He probably would have just took the money and left her there safe at home to sleep it off if she wouldn't have assaulted him. Most cops just arrest you on the scene. That cop could have just arrested her after finding her laying there on the ground in front of Six Flags, but he was nice and escorted her home to get he money. He probably just thought that she was a sweet old lady that just had a little to much to drink. I wish I could have seen the look on that cops face when she started coming towards him with a dildo in her hand! I bet he was like "What the hell?!" Ha. Ha. Anyway, I guess we know that hitting a cop with a dildo can lead to being arrested! That lady will probably be remembered from now on as the dildo assualter!

Hundreds Mourn Teen Beaten to Death at Georgia House Party
A teen is pronounced dead after being beaten to death at a house party in Georgia. 18 year old Bobby Tillman was just passing through the room at the party when he was targeted by four men and beaten to death. Tillman did not know the people who attacked him. The fight started with a man and a woman fighting and the woman hit the man. The man said that he wouldn't hit her back, but he would hit the next man that walked by. Sadly, Tillman was that next man. Tillman's family mourned over his body and the memories that were brought to the funeral. His funeral brought a message to teens that violence is not okay and that you must stand up to it.
I think that this is a sad article. This sort of thing happens all the time and all over the world. Teens and just people in general should be aware of things like this. It's a growing problem and people should take a stand. That guy didn't have to die. He could have lived and continued on having a good life and making more memories, but because of the people at that party, he was murdered. That girl shouldn't have even hit the other guy to begin with. She had another choice that she could have made. She should have just walked away, but the guy had a choice too. He could have chose to walk away from that girl and continued on with his night. Just because he did the right thing by not hitting that girl doesn't give him the right to take it out on an innocent bystander. Tillman didn't even know any of those people that beat him to death and that is what is really sad about this story. He did nothing wrong all he was doing was passing through and he was attacked by a bunch of strangers that thought it would be okay to take their anger out on the next person who walked by. L.A. police arrest 88 in raid of downtown club
Police arrested 81 women and 7 men at an L.A. downtown "hostess" club raid. People that go to hostess clubs in L.A. are allowed to legally pay women for time and companionship but not for nudity or stripping. The 88 people were arrested at club 907 on Friday for suspicion of prostitution, lewd conduct, gambling and the use of counterfeit identification. Some of those arrested may have been illegal immigrant women trafficked into the U.S. and then forced to work at the club. Nearly three dozen officers took part in the raid. 400 people were crowded into a space with a capacity for only 250.
Stuff like this just makes me sick. I can't believe stuff like this still goes on in America. I can see something like this still happening in foreign countries, but something needs to be done. I'm glad the police got on this and stopped what was happening in that club. I understand that some people like to go to the club and some people like to go to the strip joints, but it's just sick that 400 people were packed into a place that holds a maximum capacity of 250 people just to take part in the illegal prostitution that was going on in this place. Some of those girls were taken from another country and forced to be in there and do that sickening job. I feel sorry for those poor girls. I would just want to die if somebody did that to me! Those people deserved to be arrested. I hope that whoever owned that club is getting a long sentence in prison. Whoever owns that place and is running that business is a sick person. It's one thing to have a choice at prostitution, but it's quite another to be doing it against your will. How on earth did they get all those people in there anyway? Dallas Cowboys Fire Coach Wade Phillips
This article is about the Dallas Cowboy's former head coach being fired in the middle of the football season. The owner of the Dallas Cowboys, Jerry Jones, fired head coach Wade Phillips on Monday after losing to the Greenbay Packers, 45-7, at the Sunday night game on November 7th. This would be the Cowboy's fifth straight loss, dropping them to 1-7. This is their worst season since 1989. Dallas was coming off a division title and a playoff win. Phillips' departure is the first in-season coaching change in club history. Jason Garrett is set to take Phillips' place starting with the Sunday night game at the New York Jets next week.
Okay, I had to comment on this article only because my husband is a HUGE Cowboy's fan. I don't mind watching them play, but I was born in K.C. Missouri so I'm a Chiefs fan all the way! I know that the Cowboy's aren't having a very good year this year, but I really don't believe that it is the coaches fault. The players don't even seem like they are trying to win anymore. They just let the Packers run all over them Sunday night! I think something is going on behind the scenes that we don't know about. I mean, think about it, the Cowboys were in the playoffs last year and now they suck! Something seems wrong about the whole thing. Personally, I think that Jerry Jones seems like a prick. I bet poor Phillips is probably glad to be out of there! He always looked like he was stressed out. Michael Jackson's Kids Remember Their Father on 'Oprah'
This article is about Michael Jackson's children opening up to Oprah about their father and his death. Michael Jackson's three children tell Oprah what they miss the most about their deceased father a year and a half after his death. Michael's children, 13-year-old Prince, 12-year-old Paris, and 8-year-old Blanket, sat with their grandmother, Katherine Jackson, and recollected memories of the times they spent with their father before he died. The children told Oprah how much they missed him and what a good father he was. His mother shared her remorse for her sons death.

He was a HUGE celebrity though. Some people may call him a freak, but everybody will always remember him whether it be good or bad memories. Everyone knew who this man was. Pennsylvania Man Breaks Into Empty Home, Lives There 3 Days
A man duped a construction company by saying that he was thinking about buying a $450,000 home and ended up breaking into it instead. 23-year-old Adam Rodriguez broke into the expensive home and changed the security code on the garage door and moved his furniture in moments later after breaking in. Rodriguez lived in the home for three days before being caught by police. Rodriguez was arrested Monday and charged with burglary, criminal trespass and theft of services.
What an idiot this guy was. Why would you tell a construction company that you might like to buy a home and then break into that home and try to live there. Breaking into a house is not going to go unnoticed, especially if the construction company you talked to is working on that house. That guy was stupid for even thinking that he could get away with holding up in the house let alone moving his furniture in! Why would you even bother moving your furniture in? You gotta know that you are going to get caught just for breaking into the place so why would you even attempt to make yourself at home? I bet the judge was laughing when he heard that he was going to have to settle this case. I wonder what the guy's excuse was for doing that? I kinda wish I could've been a fly on the wall for that explanation!

Body of Alabama Nurse Found in Trunk
The body of a nurse was found dead in the trunk of her car. The body of 44-year-old Carla Smith, who was the nursing supervisor at Riverview Regional Medical Center's emergency department was found Monday afternoon by personnel with an ambulance company. Her car was found in a gravel lot and she was dressed in her nursing clothes. Police believe that she must have been on her way to or from work when she was murdered and stuffed in her trunk. There are no leads as to who murdered Smith. The car was deserted in the gravel lot when she was found.

Man Sentenced to Life for Killing 3 College Students in New Jersey Schoolyard
A man is being sentenced to life in prison after murdering three college students in a New Jersey schoolyard. Melvin Jovel and 5 other men lined up three victoms along the wall of a new Jersey school and shot each one in the back of the head. Melvin Jovel is 21 years old and showed no remorse for murdering the victoms while he was in court for his sentence hearing. The victoms families were furious when Jovel wouldn't even look them in the face when they were speaking at the court hearing. A judge sentenced Jovel to three consecutive life sentences plus 20 years.
I read this story and it made me so mad. How can you do something like that and then not even feel remotely bad about it at all? I think that this is one of those cases where they should have gave the guy the death sentence. If someone has the balls to line three people up against a wall and shoot them in the back of the head point blank, then I think that he should not have been given the choice to live. He didn't give those three vistoms the chance to live. He didn't even feel bad about shooting them point blank in the back of the head. A life for a life in this matter. Although, a life sentence in prison at the age of 21 is a pretty good punishment. At least he will be in a cage for the rest of his life, but what if he escapes from that cage? If he were given the death sentence there would be no escape. You can't escape death. You can only plead your case to God when you get to the pearly gates. In this case, if he were given the death sentence, I bet God would have sent him straight to hell. Off-Duty Cop Foils Salon Robbery While Getting Her Hair Done
In this article, A 50 year old woman was getting her hair done when a man burst into the salon to rob the place. 19 year old Winston Cox burst into a salon called Sabine's Hallway beauty salon on Franklin Avenue in Brooklyn and demanded cash and belongings from the customers. A 50 year old off duty cop was getting her hair done at the time of the incident and decided to resolve the issue at hand. She told him to drop the gun and that she was a police officer. Cox fired a shot at her and missed. The off duty officer returned fire and shot cox in the right arm and thigh. Cox took off on foot. Nobody else was injured.
Way to go chick! All I gotta say is that she was a very brace lady to have handled the situation successfully. It's never a good outcome when there is somebody robbing the store that your in with a gun. I'm just glad that he missed her when he took a shot at her. She could have been seriously injured. I don't think I could be a cop let alone save a bunch of people in a salon from an armed robber. That chick had some girl power. I'm just shocked that a woman that was 50 years old saved everybody in that salon from a 19 year old idiot with a gun. Granny got skillz! I can just imagine some old lady with curlers in her hair and a gun saying "Drop your gun and get on the ground!" It's good to know that there are people like that out there though. I bet everybody in that salon was thankful that she was getting her hair done that night! I'm glad that she's getting the recognition that she deserves for her act of bravery in that kind of a situation. Brooklyn must be proud to have her as part of their team!

I'm proud to say that my daughter is now 3 months old and I still haven't gone back to smoking. I have to say they taste discusting to me now anyway. I'm just one of those people that didn't want my smoking habit to harm my baby so I quit. It's very hard to stop smoking cigarettes. I honestly think that its a will power thing but it's harder for some people than it is for others to quit. I WILLED myself to quit for the sake of my baby. Trial starts in Florida over the slaying of both parents with many kids
The selection for a Jury began Monday in the trial of a karate instructor who is charged with leading a group of armed men dressed as ninjas into a wealthy couple's home and robbing and murdering them. The two wealthy victums had 9 adopted special needs children that they cared for and 3 children of their own in the home. The men broke into the home and mudered the couple while the children slept. Leonard Patrick Gonzalez Jr., 36, could get the death penalty if convicted of organizing the break-in at Byrd and Melanie Billings' home near Pensacola on the night of July 9, 2009.
I remember the first night I heard about this story and when I read this article I had to blog about it. This is a very disturbing story. It's another one of those shocking stories that makes your heart weep for the victums and their friends and loved one that are feeling the pain of a lost loved one. I really do hope that this guy, and the other men that helped this man do what he did to that family, all get the death sentence. I think that they really deserve it. Why would you do that to good people like the Billings? If you commit a crime as great as this one then you better be ready for your punishment because it's coming quickly. Those two people were great people. They took 9, not just 1, they took 9 special needs children who were orphans and gave them a safe home. They gave those children a good home, and those men came and took those good people away from those poor little children that loved them very much. Those poor children depended on those two people. May God have mercy on those evil men's souls because they have committed a crime so great that only God will be able to save them when they get the death sentence here on earth. Vince Vaughn against removing "gay" joke from his movie
In this article, actor Vince Vaughn is not wanting to remove the "gay" line that he used in his new movie. A joke in a trailer for the new movie "The Dilemma" was deemed bullying. Vince Vaughn's character in the movie says: "Ladies and gentleman, electric cars are gay." The joke was removed first from the trailer for the film, and then from the film itself. Vaughn says he agrees that bullying is reprehensible, but disagrees with the measures taken by Universal Pictures.
I agree with Vince Vaughn on this one. I love Vince Vaughn! I love all his movies. Not only is he a very intelligent guy, he is also very funny. That's not the reason I am siding with him on this matter though. I think that the joke that has the word "gay" in it is nothing more than a harmless joke. #1 he is making a joke about electric cars and not a specific person or group of people. Everybody makes jokes like that and they are meaningless. There is a difference in saying something thats meant to hurt someone and saying something thats meant to make people laugh. Baltimore officer slain in fight over parking spot
A Baltimore police detective was off-duty and out celebrating his birthday when he was killed after a dispute about a parking space. Detective Brian Stevenson was an18-year veteran with the department and would have turned 38 on Sunday. Stevenson was out celebrating with a friend Saturday night after 10 p.m. in the southeastern part of the city when he got into an argument with a man and a woman over a parking spot. The man hit the officer over the head with a big rock or a piece of concrete and then took off running. Stevenson died later that night from head trauma at a local hospital.
That is so screwed up. What is the word coming to now a days? Did that guy really have to die over a stupid parking spot? Geez! That guy saves other peoples lives! I can't believe that those people hit him over the head with a rock just because of a parking spot. I mean it's really bad to kill a person but it's even worse if that person is a cop. I'm sure that those people didn't know that he was a cop and they oviously didn't stick around to find out that he died. I hope they are caught and brought to justice. If they don't catch them then I'm sure this would be another great America's Most Wanted story. It's a freakin' parking spot people! It's not worth dieing over and it sure isn't worth killing somebody over! My heart goes out to the officer's family. It's a shame that he had to die like this. He was a veteran and that not how a veteran should have died. He should have been honored for what he's done. Missing North Carolina Girl Seen Alive Last Month
In this article, an amber alert has been put out for a missing girl. 10 year old Zahra Baker from North Carolina was seen in public two weeks before she was reported missing. The girls family told the police that she had been missing for more than a month. Cops are now uncertain as to what happened to the girl but her dad and step-mother are still concidered suspects. Zahra has bone cancer. She wears hearing aids and she has a prosthetic leg. The girl's stepmother, 42-year-old Elisa Baker, is charged with obstruction of justice in the case. Police say she admitted writing a ransom note found in the family's back yard the day the girl was reported missing.

Either they are hiding her somewhere or they murdered her. Either way they are hiding something. I think they did something to that little girl. Suspect in Killing of North Carolina Student Dies Day Before Trial
A man accused of strangling a University of North Carolina Charlotte student has died the day before his trial. 55-year-old Neal Cassada died at his home Sunday morning at around 10am. Cassada's lawyer said that his client was under a lot of stress and died from natural causes. Cassada had a history of breathing and heart problems. He was set to go to trial the following Monday after his death for the murder of 20-year-old Irina Yarmolenko in Gaston County.
That's one way to get out of going to court! I can't believe this. It's to bad he didn't get to be brought to justice for the murder of that student that he strangled. I'm sure the family of the victom would have liked to shut the case with peace at mind knowing that he was serving his time behind bars. I suppose, in a way, he kind of got what he deserved. A life for a life as some people say. But it's not really justified because, he died from natural causes. He strangled that girl. She didn't get to die of natural causes. Her life was taken from her at a young age. It's not really fair. Of course, life never is fair. I still believe that he should have been punished for his crimes here on earth before getting to check out on life. You can't stop mother nature though. If it was his time to go then so be it. It's in God's hands now. I hope God is giving him the justice he deserves. Maybe God sent him to hell where he belongs with all the other murderers. Funeral is Monday for Vermont woman abducted from home
A 78-year-old grandmother who was abducted from her home in a tiny Vermont town and killed will be laid to rest on Monday. Funeral services are set for Pat O'Hagan at St. Elizabeth's church in Lyndonville. O'Hagan was a grandmother of nine and served as president of the historical society, working a church's annual chicken dinner and volunteering at a food pantry. She was reported missing Sept. 11 from Sheffield, a rural town of about 700 residents. Her body was found on Oct. 3 by some bird hunters in a wooded area in Wheelock, about 10 miles from her home.
This is so sad. Why would somebody abduct a sweet little old lady? That is just wrong. How would the person that did this like it if someone did that to their grandmother. That poor little old lady! I can't believe that someone would do this. I hope they find the perpatraitor real soon so that they can be brought to justice. My heart goes out to her family. Inmates brawl at Southern Calif. prison
In this shocking article, a brawl broke out at a Southern California prison. The brawl involved about 10 to 15 inmates. California Department of Corrections spokesman say that the California Rehabilitation Center in Norco will remain on lockdown until the investigation is complete. Four inmates were stabbed in the fight on Sunday night in the prison dorm. They are in serious condition, but are expected to survive. The other inmates that were involved had minors cuts and bruises.
I don't understand people sometimes. I mean what reason is there to stab another human being, unless you are defending yourself. I think that there should be more police enforcement in that prison. That should not have happened. You hear about things like this happening all the time though. There is a guy that I work with that has been to prison. He said fights like this one break out all the time in prison. He said he saw one guy get stabbed for not giving up his piece of bread at lunch! That is so ridiculous. It's like a bunch of kids fighting over a stupid toy. I wanted to know how on earth they get a weapon in there to even stab someone in the first place. Prosecutors Weigh Bias Crime Charges After N.J. Teen's Suicide
In this article, prosecuters are deciding on filing bias-crime charges against two college freshmen accused of streaming online video of a classmate's sexual encounter with another man. 18-year-old Tyler Clementi had jumped to his death from the George Washington Bridge on Sept. 22, 2010 after his classmates had posted a video of him having sex with another man. Clementi's roommate, Dharun Ravi, of Plainsboro, N.J., and Molly Wei, of Princeton, N.J., both 18, are charged with invasion of privacy, with the most serious charges carrying a penalty of up to five years in prison.
This is a very serious and upsetting story. Those two students should not have posted that video. That's not their business. Even if they only meant to humiliate Clementi for a practical joke, it had a serious effect on him. He committed suicide because he was so humiliated. I think that the two students that posted that video should be seriously punished. You can't do things like that and then get away with it. Even if they hadn't intended on hurting anyone they should have sat down and thought about how it would effect that Clementi kid. They knew that by posting that video that it would destroy that guys life, and for what? A couple of laughs? It's just so stupid. My mother always told me to treat others with the same respect that you expect from them. Those two students had no respect for Clementi's privacy at all. It's bullying, plain and simple. People are punished for it in school and now they are taking it to far on the net. It's may not be the internet that hurts people, but the people who use the internet as a tool for bullying should be put to justice! It makes me sick that people think it's funny to use things like U-Tube to post nasty things about other people. How would you feel if somebody caught a nasty embarrassing moment of you and posted it on U-Tube for the world to see? I would be mortified if someone did that to me. I defanitely would be really pissed off!

Bedbugs Found in Federal Government Building
In this article, Bedbugs have invaded a Federal Government building in Washington, D.C. The bedbugs were discovered in an office in the US Agency for International Development office tower at the Ronald Regan Building and International Trade Center. There are a number of places in the Ronald Regan Building that serve food. People visiting the Ronald Regan Building are skeptical about going in now that the bedbugs have been discovered.

Facebook Reunites Father and Daughter After 25 Years
An author who has searched for his daughter for 25 years is finally reunited with her in Houston, Texas. James Boyd met with Stephanie Brumlow on Friday at Lone Star College in Houston, where Brumlow's a student. Boyd and Brumlow's mother had separated before she was born. Boyd found his daughter through Facebook. His daughter sent him a friend request and picture and when he saw it he knew exactly who it was!
I thought that this story was very touching. I think that one of the good things about Facebook is that you can find people on there that you haven't heard from in years. A friend of mine has her entire high school class that she graduated with on her facebook. It's amazing that you can find all those people and stay in touch with them. Everybody that I know has a Facebook account. I don't have one. I need to get one. It's amazing though, that you can find anyone on Facebook and send them a friend request. All you have to do is look them up. It can be somebody that you haven't seen since you were a little kid and all you have to do is type their name in and press the search button. If they have a Facebook account then all you do is send them a friend request and then you are reunited! I'm glad that this man found his daughter. FBI makes arrest in bank robbery; suspect had posted claim of responsibility on Facebook
The FBI made an arrest for a man that robbed an Oregan bank. Ryan Homsley was arrested Friday after he posted a claim on Facebook saying that he robbed the bank in order to pay for his medical bills. Homsley robbed a Key Bank branch in suburban Tualatin on Tuesday. He has been a hospital patient since Thursday and will be scheduled for a court appearance upon his release. Homsley is a diabetic and has a serious drug problem.
Sounds like financial chaos. People say desperate times call for desperate measures. I'd say this guy must have been pretty desperate for money. Everybody knows that it's a bad deal if you rob a bank now days. Back in the old west times people rode in on their horses, robbed the local bank, and left without a worry or care that somebody would bring them to justice. Now days if you rob a bank a siren goes off and lights start flashing and before you know it your like a deer in the headlights surrounded by cops with guns and tazers! What was this guy thinking!? You don't rob a bank and then post a comment on Facebook that you robbed that bank. EVERYBODY has a facebook! People are going to see that and turn you in as soon as possible! What a dummy this guy was. Maybe, since it says he has a drug problem, he wasn't sober and didn't think things through. Oops! Better luck next time dude! Lindsay Lohan spends less than a day in suburban Los Angeles jail after posting $300,000 bail
Celebrity singer and actress Lindsay Lohan was sentenced to jail by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Elden Fox on Friday after her court appearance that morning. She was sentenced to jail without bail but later that afternoon her attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, filed an appeal seeking bail. The judge's ruling was then overturned and Lindsay bailed herself out of jail at about 11:40pm Friday night by paying a $300,000 bond.
This story just makes me sick! I know that it not really my concern as to what happens to Lindsay Lohan, but I just plain don't like her. I think that she needs a dose of reality. It's to bad her attorney appealed the judge's ruling. I think she should have had to serve her month in jail like the judge sentenced her to. Personally, I think that she should have had to serve about four months in jail. I work with this guy at D.Q. and he got in trouble for a dirty drug test while he was on probation and he had to go to jail for four months. Just because she is a celebrity and a pampered spoiled brat doesn't mean that she should get out of going to jail. She needs to learn her lesson and she thinks that she can just pay her way out of trouble because she has so much money to just throw away. How about this Lindsay, I think you should stay in jail and serve your time, Go to rehab and finish it completely without cheating, and donate all the money, that you save from staying out of trouble, to a charity or somebody that really needs it! Make street names less fun to stop theft
A rural Georgia county is losing about 550 street signs a year to thieves. The street signs that have popular names like Mary Jane Lane, Boone's Farm, and Green Acres have been reported stolen frequently. The stolen signs have been having a costly outcome on the county. So costly, in fact, that it costs the county $17,000 a year to replace the stolen signs. McIntosh County Commissioner Mark Douglas says that by changing the signs names to boring names will solve the theft problem.
Wow! I f you think about it, that really is a lot of money to be spending a year just to be replacing those stupid stolen signs. I can understand why people would steal those signs though. It's because they are funny and people probably think it is cool to have a sign that says something like Boone's Farm or Mary Jane Lane. I imagine if they have to spend $17,000 a year to replace the signs, then every teenager in town must have at least one of those signs. I think that they should set cameras up in the neighborhoods with those signs and catch the theives so that they can be put to justice for taking the signs in the first place. Stealing is stealing and nobody likes a theif! I think that the thieves should be caught and punished just like any other theif. If somebody were to steal something from Wal-Mart then they would be caught and punished. I don't think the "sign thieves" should get away with what they've done. Changing the signs names would probably stop the problem but I think that the thieves should be caught and punished. They will continue to steal unless they are punished for it. Wow! I f you think about it, that really is a lot of money to be spending a year just to be replacing those stupid stolen signs. I can understand why people would steal those signs though. It's because they are funny and people probably think it is cool to have a sign that says something like Boone's Farm or Mary Jane Lane. I imagine if they have to spend $17,000 a year to replace the signs, then every teenager in town must have at least one of those signs. I think that they should set cameras up in the neighborhoods with those signs and catch the theives so that they can be put to justice for taking the signs in the first place. Arrest warrant issued for Lindsay Lohan after she fails drug test
24 year old actress Lindsay Lohan is issued a warrant for arrest after admitting to failing a drug test. Superior Court Judge Elden Fox issued a bench warrant for Lohan, but she will remain free until a court hearing on friday. Lohan posted a series of Twitter messages last friday acknowledging her drug problem. Lohan has spent time in rehab and jail in the past for her drug and alcohol addiction problems. The judge must now decide whether to send her back to jail or back into treatment.
Does this chick's drama ever end? I am always hearing about Lindsay Lohan everywhere I go now and it always seems to be that she is in trouble for drugs or alcohol. Lay off the crack Lindsay! I'm all for going out and having fun but making it a daily routine is just asking for trouble. Since Lindsay is a celebrity it's defanitely getting her a lot of attention, but not in a good way. Philly postal carrier charged with storing almost 13,000 pieces of undelivered mail in his garage
In Philadelphia a postal carrier by the name of David Blauser has been accused of storing 12,808 pieces of undelivered mail at home in his garage. U.S. Attorney Zane David Memeger says it took Blauser over 13 years to collect the mail and store it in his home instead of delivering it. It took about 3 postal trucks to remove the mail from Blauser's garage and deliver it to the rightful owners. If convicted of obstructing the delivery of mail, Blauser could face up to 6 months in jail, 5 years probabation, and a $5,000 fine.

Sex Offender Sought After N.C. Police Chief's Daughter Found Dead in Storage Unit
In this story, the daughter of a North Carolina police chief is found dead in a storage unit. Twenty-three year old Valerie Hamilton's body was found Saturday night at the Mini-Storage Center in Charlotte Mecklinburg County. A warrent has been sent out for a 34 year old male by the name of Michael Neal Harvey. The police believe he is the man on a suveillance video that Valerie Hamilton left a restaruant with last week. Police are also looking for his 1996 Chevy Blazer and believe that Harvey is still in the Charlotte area.
If thats not a enough to get the police invloved lets just throw in that it's a police cheifs daughter! I bet chief Hamilton is very emotional right now and very eager to catch this guy! Can't say that I blame him! If I were in his shoes I would be putting in over time just to catch this guy. I just hope that the person they are sending the warrant out for is the right criminal. He may have asex offeneder record but maybe he wasn't the murderer. Although, all fingers do point to him! I suppose that is why we have trials. Most of the time justice is served to the right criminals but sometimes criminals get away with it if they have a good enough lawyer on their side. I think it's just sick that somebody would murder sombody and then stuff them in a storage unit. I wonder what makes people wanna do things like that. It's just so wrong. 9/11 Conspiracy
In this article, many people believe that the attacks on 9/11 were all planned. Many people are calling what happened on this horrible day a conspiracy. Many people believe that secretly planted explosives were the cause in the collapse of the Twin Towers. Others believe that a missle was launched to create the damage at the Pentagon. A third of Americans took a poll and many believe that government officials had something to do with the attacks on this day. Whether it was setting the operation up or doing nothing to stop it, many believe this is the reason we are at war today.
Bare with me everybody I know this is a very touchy subject for you! Here is my opinion on this. I think that people are still scared and have blown this into a conspiracy theory because they want to believe things like that. I'm sorry but why would the government sacrifice so many lives just to start a war with a tiny country half way around the world! We have no proof that 9/11 was an act of conspiracy! I was outraged when I heard this! I think that this is kind of disrespectful to those many lives that were lost that day! I think that people want to believe the conspiracy theory because they can't handle what went on that day. Sometimes the truth is just to much for some people and I can understand that. When you read or watch the "loose change" story it really does seem to make sense that 9/11 is a conspiracy but I just can't bring myself to believe that the government would do that to Americans. Oh yea and as to there being explosives planted in the towers, that would take months of electrical teamwork. I think somebody would have noticed them wiring the buildings and the reason that the hole is so huge in the Pentagon isn't because of a missle. It was hit with a BIG plane going at a very FAST pace! Duh! It's going to 'cause a big hole in the wall when it hits!

Man Kills His Wife Over Breakfast
Stanley Neace from Jacksonville, Kentucky blew his temper sky high one morning when his wife was cooking breakfast. According to some neighbors, Neace shot his wife with a shot gun because she didn't cook his eggs right. Lately, Neace's temper had been getting out of control to the point that the landlord had been threatening to evict him. Neace stormed out of his trailer in his pajamas and shot and killed his wife, step-daughter, and three neighbors before turning the gun on himself. Nobody knows the real reason for his temper.
Wow! Let this be a lesson to all you wives that a man wants his eggs cooked right! This story is just crazy! I think that something had been bothering him for a long time and he just didn't know how to deal with it so he kept it bottled up inside and it kept building and building. Whatever it was that was eating away at him made him very irritable and that morning he must have had enough. I guess not having his eggs the way he wanted them was the last straw! It's sad that he killed all those people in the process. Somebody should have called the police about his temper long before this happened. Maybe it would've saved some lives. Rare Cancer
Vicki Kelly is a 44 year old personal trainer from Goshen, N.Y. She, like many other people in the world, has cancer. Although, unlike everyone else, she has a very rare type of cancer. In fact, her cancer is so rare that only 4 out of 1 million people get it. Vicki has been diagnosed with Leiomyosarcoma, a cancer of the smooth muscle of the body. It was confined to her uterus. A Dr. Elizabeth Poyner traveled two hours to perform surgery on Vicki. Although Vicki may be alright today her cancer has a high risk of coming back.
I feel terrible for this lady. I would just like to wish her the best of luck. I have a chronic illness to so I understand, in some form, what she is going through. Having cancer is very scary. You don't know if you're going to pull through it or if tommorrow could be your last day. This woman has a VERY rare type of cancer with a VERY high reoccurance rate. If I were in her shoes I would be scared! It's usually the really rare cancers that end up being the devil. I think that it's wonderful that Dr. Poyner traveled over two hours to help Vicki out. She must have a heart of gold. God sent Dr. Poyner to be her angel. It's always good to help people when you can really make it count. Teenagers Embedding Objects Into Their Skin
In this shocking story, teenagers have been embedding objects into their skin. It's called self-embedding behavior. Some teenagers do it as a result in dealing with tough times. Eleven patients out of an age group of 14-18 year olds showed this kind of behavior. Some teens have been doing this for years. Teens embedded metal, plastic, crayons, and other objects directly into their skin or into a cut in their skin. With ultrasound, researchers detected objects that X-rays could not, and performed small incisions to remove the objects leaving little or no scarring.
Okay, who in their right mind would do that crap! That is so sick! Couldn't those kids just go have a cigarette or something? That is just crazy to cut yourself and the stick things in your skin. We used to have a kid in my high school science class that would staple himself all the time because he thought it was cool. All the other students just thought he was sick. Those kids are going to become sick with some sort of disease by sticking all those things in their skin. Lead poisoning, hepititus, tetnus, etc. I sure hope that the parents of those teen are getting them some help because that is just wrong. I would be mortified if it were my child that was doing that to themselves. Get a clue! If your teenager is doing this then maybe its time they went to see a counselor. I wonder if any of them died from cutting their skin open and putting those object in there. I'm sure the cuts would get infected. What would possess somebody to do that? It's a good thing technology is so advanced today that the doctors were able to detect the object and where they were embedded in the skin so that they could pull the items out.

Tylenol Packed Mice Help Control Snake Population
In this story, The brown tree snake has become a problem in the pacific island of Guam. The island has become over populated with these snakes. They have wiped out the island's native population of forest birds. They have been getting tangled up in electrical wires and causing power outages throughout the island, creating an expensive repair bill. The island has several different traps for the snakes but they have been failing to control the snake population so the U.S. Department of Agriculture has begun to drop Tylenol-packed mice from an airplane to try and control the snakes. Supposedly, Tylenol is deadly to the snakes.
Wow! Who knew that Tylenol could be so deadly. I like Tylenol. It eases all my pain! It's kind of sicknening that they are stuffing dead mice with Tylenol and then throwing them out a plane into the tree tops of the forest. Although, that would defanitely be a good way to get a snake to want to eat the poisonious Tylenol-stuffed rodents. On the other hand, it's kind of cool to think that something so simple as Tylenol can control a hazardous population of snakes. Everybody uses Tylenol! Its not hard to get! If you don't use Tylenol then you probably use Ibuprofen or some other sort of pain reliever. And yet, thats all it's going to take to solve the snake problem in Guam! 'Beetlejuice' Actor Dies at age 58
In this article, actor Glenn Shadix, is pronounced dead after falling out of his wheelchair and hitting his head in his kitchen. The actor is mostly known for his role as Otho, in the movie 'Beetlejuice'. He has also starred in a few other Tim Burton movies. He played the mayor in the movie 'The Nightmare Before Christmas'. Glenn Shadix has been doing voiceover work for a number of years. He was 58 years old when he passed away this morning. He lived in Burmingham, Alabama. Shadix had been retired for four years and had moved to Burmingham to be closer to his family.
This is so sad to hear about. Who hasn't seen 'Beetlejuice'? I am a BIG Tim Burton fan! I loved the movie Beetlejuice. For those of you who are still in the dark ages, Otho, the guy Glenn Shadix played, was the fat decorator in Beetlejuice. I also love the movie 'The Nightmare Before Chistmas'. He played the two faced mayor in that cartoon film. At least his family was there for him. At least he lived longer than a lot of other actors. There are a lot of actors now a days that die from overdosing on drugs. It seems as though he had a nice fullfilling life surrounded by loved ones instead of dieing alone in an empty hotel room with a bottle of pills laying next to him. I feel terrible that he's dead. Woman's body found stuck in a chimney
A woman's body was found stuck in a chimney! The woman had went to her boyfriend's house and climbed up a ladder and slid down the chimney! She was last seen on that Wednesday night and was reported missing the following day by her boyfriend and co- workers. She was a well known doctor. Her boyfriend had went out of town when she tried to get into his house. A friend of her boyfriend found the woman dead and stuck in the chimney a few days later when he came buy to feed the boyfriend's fish. It took rescuers 5 hours to pull her body out of the chimney!
My thoughts on this story are simple! What was that woman thinking?! Most people just use the window! Surely she could have at least called her boyfriend to see when he was gonna be home so that way she could use the front door! If nobody is home she could have came back at another time! Geez! I believe they call what she did breaking and entering! That's not right! She would have had some explaining to do if she had made it out of that chimney alive! It's terrible that they didn't find her until a few days later. That poor woman! She shouldn't have done that little stunt in the first place! I think that so many people, especially mothers, would love the opportunity to stay at home and replace their income from their outside job to an easy $6,000 with an inside your own home job!
8 People Die in Cancun Bar
In this story , A group of 6 to 8 men entered a bar in Cancun, Mexico and killed eight people. The murdering men entered the Castillo de Mar Bar and threw a bunch of homemade bombs. They killed six women and 2 men. Investigators claim they haven't found any motive for the attack, but the bar in question has been a victom of two extortion attempts. The attack happened aroung 1 a.m. and the victoms were reported to be locals and not tourists. They believe the attack could be the work of the Zeta drug cartel.
My view on this story is that I am shocked! I think that they should put more police down in that area. Cancun, Mexico is a big hot spot for a lot of tourists and vacationers. Even though the victoms weren't tourists! It could have happened to anyone. Mexico has been having a lot of trouble with drug dealers and gangs down in that area. I think that reinforcements should be brought in down there to clean up the mess! Innocent people are dieing everyday because of the fighting between the many gangs and drug cartels! I'm sure that at the time this incident occured a lot of the people that were sitting in that bar were well wasted, but whatever the problem is it shouldn't end in a bloody violent mess! If the police don't do something to stop the violence and the mayhem that these drug cartel and gang members are causing things could get a lot uglier for anybody that visits Cancun! Eventually, if something isn't done about this problem, Cancun is going to lose a lot of it's tourists! Losing it's tourists could lose a lot of money for the place!

English 101 Assignment
A little boy's grandmother took him and his cousin for a weekend of family fun. They checked into a downtown Atlanta hotel.
